The restaurant has the perfect aesthetics to set the mood, while creating an escape from the bustling chaotic reality that is Lagos. Specializing in middle eastern cuisine; the restaurant uses Arabian inspired decor, live music, plant life and vibrant colours to set themselves apart from your typical restaurant. It looks absolutely stunning at any time of day. Normally this level of aesthetic comes with a large price tag, however, their prices usually range from 2000naira to 7000naira, with barely any outliers. Rele Gallery is an ultramodern gallery and art space located also in Victoria Island. It is an extremely beautiful space that supports and showcases talented visual artists, giving them a space to grow, network and showcase their work. While bridging the gap between the international art and the African art worlds. This would be a wonderful daytime date for art lovers, as they close at 6pm. The gallery has a plethora of artworks and a serene ambience that sets an ideal mood.

Rufus and Bees

Rufus and Bees is an arcade in the twin waters tower located in Lekki. It is a chance to get competitive and fun with your date. Although it is usually full of tiny kids running around, I would recommend going during the week. When you do go, the bowling alley is the best place for you. It has a bar and is in a separate section of its own away from the arcade buzz. Even with the kids, it is still a fun place to be, you’d just have to be a bit PG so no one’s mummy is asking you people if you have home training.

Brizz Karaoke Lounge

Brizz Karaoke lounge is a rooftop restaurant, bar and karaoke place with an indoor and outdoor section. It is located at the top of Lush Mall, Lekki Phase 1. There is an assortment of food and drinks served, plus games such as pool readily available for you and your partner to play. It is a restaurant-bar with an extremely relaxed vibe. Couples with a fun DJ, polite staff and very encouraging customers who will cheer you on when you sing. The patio section gets a wonderful breeze as it is at the highest point of the building. This would be ideal for couples who like to have fun, are carefree and just want to have a memorable night.

Lekki Leisure Beach

Lekki Leisure Lake is a private beach located off Lekki phase one, all the way down the pinnacle oil road. It is attached to a resort that features a restaurant and a beach. The entry fee for adults is 2k and it is a very long stretch of land. The beach has a bar on it as well as a restaurant that serves finger foods. The bar is decorated tiki-style, with a wide range of options. There is also the option to ride quad bikes, do jungle gym activities and a bouncy castle mania, although these options are not always available. There are lots of free white seating benches stationed along the beach, however, the more private canopies that come with chairs and tables, range from 15k upwards. Despite this, it is a beautiful beach, with a wonderful breeze. It is very quiet during the daytime but can get rowdy during the evening to nighttime, with speakers blasting music and drunken nights. However, if your partner loves the ocean view and you don’t mind the breeze yourself? This is a wonderful idea for a date.

IMAX

If you and your partner love movies, the excitement of going to the theatre, the darkening of the room as the movie is about to play and the smell of fresh popcorn? This is the perfect date location. IMAX cinemas in Lekki Phase 1 is a big structure with an upper bar and lounge area. The food is decent and the area is suitable for pictures. This is a very simple date idea that could be the first stop on your magic-filled night or the end to a wonderful time out.

Lufasi Nature Park Lagos

Lufasi nature park is a well-groomed nature park located in Sangotedo. It features a long walk, with a knowledgeable guide, through the forest to the endpoint at Lake Moses. The gate fee is 1000 naira and you are allowed to bring in food and drinks. A picnic would be a wonderful idea. There is a playground, an open park, lots of animals and other activity facilities such as a basketball court, soccer pitch and table tennis. There is a beautiful open area that has seating areas with tables shaped like mushrooms, and many animals; horses, monkeys, civets, and tortoises. The only downside is that there is a playground for children, meaning that the park does cater to children and there are lots of school-sponsored field trips during the week. Avoid going during the week and you should be okay. This would be a wonderful date for nature and animal lovers.
