Upon its release in October 2020, Made in Lagos quickly garnered international acclaim. The album debuted on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting Nigerian album of all time on the chart. It also made a significant impact on the Billboard World Albums chart, where it spent a record-breaking 150 weeks, marking the longest run for an African album in the chart’s history.
