Chad has officially inaugurated the Marshal Idriss Deby Itno Olympic Stadium, the country’s largest sports facility, built by China’s Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group.
President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno led the opening ceremony, calling the stadium a symbol of strong Sino-Chadian cooperation. With a capacity of 30,000, the modern arena includes athlete training areas, media zones, and VIP suites.
Chinese Ambassador Wang Xining praised the project as a testament to the enduring friendship between the two nations. The stadium was formally handed over to Chad earlier this month and is expected to host major national and international sporting events.
