Ants’ contract renewal is a significant boost for coach Andoni Iraola, who has witnessed key members of his starting XI depart this transfer window.
Signed from Bristol City in 2023, Semenyo has risen to prominence within The Cherries squad, netting clutch goals against Premier League Big Guns Manchester City and Manchester United last season. Following a stellar 2024/2025 Premier League campaign that saw him register 11 goals, including one after just 53 seconds, and 5 assists for Bournemouth as they achieved a club-record points tally and a joint-highest league finish of ninth, Semenyo has decided to continue honing his skills at the Vitality Stadium.
“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season. From the fans to the staff and my team-mates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner,“ said Semenyo.
