The 24-year-old has signed his contract with the English Club and swapped the Cegeka Arena for the Molineux Stadium. Arokodare joins following a breakout 2024/2025 season with Genk in the Belgian Pro League. The Nigerian striker scored a career best 21 league goals and seven assists, and clinched the Belgian Pro League Top Scorer Award. He spearheaded Genk’s title charge last season, before their faltering form towards the latter end of the season extinguished their title hopes.
Tolu Arokodare clinched the 2025 Ebony Shoe for his goalscoring exploits, awarded to the best African player in Belgium. He joined an elite company of Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Godwin Okpara, Celestine Babayaro, & Paul Onuachu as the only Nigerian winners of the prestigious award.

The towering striker commenced his European journey with Latvian Club Valmiera FC in 2019, spending two clinically productive seasons in Latvia before loan spells in the Bundesliga and Ligue 2 with 1. FC Köln and Amiens SC, respectively. Genk was thoroughly convinced by his abilities and splurged the cash on him in January 2023. The Box2Box football academy product took some time adjusting to his new surroundings and hit top form at the start of the 2024/2025 season. Defences crumbled and goalkeepers were humbled as Arokodare went on an insane goalscoring spree. He scored 41 goals and provided 12 assists in 113 games for Genk.
Powerful and deadly in front of goal, with a domineering aerial presence, Arokodare brings a relentless attacking edge and offers his team a constant, towering threat in the final third. He has the potential to become a menacing nightmare for Premier League defenders.
Tolu debuted for the Super Eagles in March 2025 and got off the mark in June 2025. He has registered one goal across four appearances.
His arrival is a timely boost to Wolves, who have lost their two opening games of the 2025/2026 season to Bournemouth and Manchester City. His arrival bolsters Wolves’ attacking power rather than heralding the departure of Jorgen Strand Larsen. Good luck at the Molineux!
