Spotlight Monday: Teezle T

Teezle T, born Tosin Adaramewa, is a young act with big plans the refresh the Afro-Pop music scene with his skills on the mic. A man of many origins, Teezle T was born in the UK, moved to Nigeria for some years before heading off to Toronto, Canada where he is now based. The diversity of his cultural origins tells on the quality of music as he is able to infuse elements of his different backgrounds into his sound and style.

His romance with music started off at the tender age of 8 and led to him joining an amateur music group called Young Fresh Ballers in secondary school. That group eventually morphed into Zero Recession Boyz with whom he is now strutting his stuff as a signed artiste.

His first release under the imprint was “Lagos Pop” and it impressively brought in over 50,000 streams across all platforms and earned him recognition in the local Toronto music scene. That success led to him opening for Burna Boy and Davido on their respective tour stops in Toronto.

Pumped and ready to take a place at the top, he is spending time in the studio working on his debut EP “Pulsar” and has already released “Addiction”, an Afro-Pop medley that serves as the first single off the project. And if that single is anything to go by, Pulsar is set to be a rewarding listening experience.
