Ayegbe Leonard Gbolahan also known as “LEOGBOLA” is an American based Nigerian artist that has hustled his way up, into both the Nigerian Music Industry and the also American Music scene. After the release of his debut song “FALALA” in 2017, he has been consistently releasing quality music annually since then just to test which industry would be suitable for him to introduce himself to a larger audience.
Leo as he’s fondly called amongst his peers have been self-promoting his craft individually since 2017 and has recorded over 5 songs released on different streaming platforms across the world. In 2020, “Dodo” one of his well-recognized hits trended on Twitter on the day of its release and has over 11,000 views on his YouTube page, the video was shot in New Jersey, USA and that was his first official video. The video later got attention from different TV stations.
In 2021, Leogbola released “KOFOSHI”. The song was everywhere in the country, getting played on popular radio stations across the country to DJs showing massive support with various mixtapes to the streets. It was welcomed and the growth attracted popular social media influencers who created the #KOFOSHICHALLENGE which later promoted both the song and the brand.
After working under the radar for months, Leogbola has finally decided to release his debut body of work titled “ The Leogbola Collection” Vol 1 also known as the “AFRO GIMMIX”. The name AFRO GIMMIX was created by Leogbola because the project is an embodiment of various unique sounds making it easier for every listener to have a personal favorite after using different gimmicks to create each track on this project.
