After dropping titillating teasers on social media, emerging rapper and singer, AddyOX has released her first single this year, One Episode produced by D Sho.
The Afrobeats number is a temporary shift from AddyOX’s previous releases which are predominantly Hip-Hop and Trap. In One Episode, she tests the waters and she delivers in a unique and fascinating fashion.
AddyOX opens the song with a question for her lover and slave “uh baby, how do you like it?”. This sets the tone for her to take charge. As the song progresses, she is confident, bragging about her ability to make her subject’s first steamy encounter with her unforgettable and cinematic.
While One Episode sees AddyOX reveal her fantasies, the lyrics don’t reveal much. The art cover of the song seemingly hints at the underlying message behind the song – BDSM; a topic that is rarely discussed in Afrobeats. AddyOX plans to release the music video for One Episode soon.
Christened Chisom Adaora Nwangwu, AddyOX has a unique sound that will captivate you on first listen. Last year, the singer released iCon and My Time which has over 10,000 streams across all platforms. She also collaborated with The Plug on their first all-women EP, Céline Vol. 1 in March.
