With several recording artists issuing new releases on a daily basis, here is our pick of the best songs from emerging acts to come out of Ghana over the past week.

Kwabsmah – Sweet Talk @Kwabsmah

“Sweet Talk” is taken off Ghanaian alternative act Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Kwabsmah’s upcoming debut album slated for release in a few months. Produced by Uche B, the melancholic bop which features enigmatic rapper Joey B is a must-listen, and spots a crisp and colourful Andy Madjitey-directed music video.

T’neeya – Hype Means Nothing @TneeyaOfficial

“Hype Means Nothing” marks the Ghana-based Cameroonian songbird’s sophomore 2020 release. Written and performed in French, English and Pidgin English, T’neeya packs an inspiring message of self-worth, delivered over a soothing afro-infused instrumental produced by WebieJustDidIt. 

Ayisi – Mokole @Bra_Ayisi

Following his first single for 2020, titled “Prayer”, A-Konnekt music artist, Ayisi releases yet another soulful record titled “Mokole'”, which translates in English as ”Nobody knows”. Produced by E.L, “Mokole” reminds us about life’s possibilities and uncertainties.

Superjazzclub – Cellular @SuperJazzClub

Ghanaian 7-man contemporary Jazz band Superjazzclub composed of 4 recording artists BiQo, Ansah Live, Seyyoh and Øbed; alongside 3 “backstage conspirators” Joey Turks, Oliver North, and Anthony Orleans-Lindsay outdoor “Cellular” – the lead single of their forthcoming debut EP. “Cellular” spots a simplistic yet super-creative visual treatment.

Mista Myles –  Die For You @MistaMyles_

Mimlife Records signed singer-songwriter returns with sentimental afro-infused song titled “Die For You”. Produced by WebieJustDidIt, “Die For You” is brought to life by a thrilling music video directed by Kofi Awuah II.
