Ananya gets comfortable with L.A.X on Caught Up

Ananya Birla’s afrobeat banger – Caught Up – now has a new collaborator; the Nigerian popstar L.A.X. Caught Up (with L. A. X) brings together two cultures underlining how music truly is a universal language.

This upbeat pop release serves as a toxic relationship song that paints an intense picture of an unhealthy connection reflecting many relationships in which people are hurt by those they trust most and are unable to escape from the constraints of a conflicting situation. The track intermingles the widely popular genre Afrobeats with classical Indian instrumentation.

The song is about taking ownership of your side of things in a relationship and not just blaming others or life. It’s about taking accountability for your role.

Speaking about the song, Ananya Birla said, “I always knew I wanted to bring somebody from the afrobeat universe onto Caught Up and I was so happy when L.A.X loved the track and hopped on to it. I couldn’t have asked for a better collaborator than L.A.X. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

About his experience, L.A.X shared, “As soon as I heard the record I knew it was a banger and I wanted to be part of greatness. The song is very special to me and working with Ananya was seamless. As soon as I sent her my part she loved it and it was ready to go.”
