BNXN taps the heavyweight for new project “Bad Since 97”, a wonderful sophomore

Nigerian Afrofusion singer/songwriter and hitmaker BNXN fka BUJU drops his highly anticipated project, ‘Bad Since 97’ featuring heavyweights including WizKid, Olamide and Wande Coal. Following the first release from the project, ‘KENKELE’, BNXN has created major waves and a huge appetite for more music across the globe. This week alone he performed the lead single from the EP ‘In My Mind’ on COLORS which has racked up over 90k views in 24 hours. The ‘Bad Since 97’ EP includes elite production credits including two award-winning London-based producers Juls (Burna Boy, Tyler the Creator, Wizkid) and platinum-selling producer TSB (Stormzy, J Hus, Dave, Aj Tracey).

Since dropping his ‘Sorry I’m Late’ EP late last year, BNXN has gone from strength to strength and
is now one of Nigeria’s most recognisable voices achieving success both within the continent and
internationally. From selling out his debut show in London to reaching 38 in the official UK charts with his single ‘Propeller’ alongside UK rapper Dave on Jae5, he has solidified his status as a hitmaker. His single ‘Finesse’ also broke into the official UK charts, peaking at 52 and was recently added to Barrack Obama’s summer playlist. Always with one eye on the UK scene, his recent collaborations with M Huncho, Dave, Jae5, TSB and Juls further cement his reputation as the king of melodies and hooks and BNXN has now dropped his own project and the features are a testament to his talent and growing reputation.

In the midst of an extensive European tour, BNXN is celebrating getting to the point where his future is in his own hands. So far in his journey, he has collaborated with Wizkid, Zlatan, Burna Boy, Darkoo, LADIPOE, Pheelz, M Huncho, Jae5, and Dave but as a solo artist, he has developed a
fiercely individual sound. BNXN’s most striking instrument is his voice which transports and transfixes you, makes you forget reality, and confirms why he’s making his mark globally. With his
‘Bad Since 97’ EP dropping alongside his COLORS performance his status is growing daily and it’s
impossible to ignore the impact, BNXN is having.
