The highly anticipated clash at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels saw Onyedika impress in midfield, showcasing composure and vision that helped set up Romeo Vermant’s decisive brace.
The 24-year-old Nigerian, who joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland, featured for 74 minutes before making way for Hugo Vetlesen to a standing ovation from the Brugge supporters.
The win reveals Club Brugge’s first Croky Cup triumph since 2015 and highlights their strong form under new manager Nicky Hayen.

Although the title had already been secured, the Championship Round clash served as a celebration of Olympiacos’ dominance, as they sealed their 48th league crown.
Onyeamachi, who joined the Greek giants from Boavista in January 2025, has quickly won over the fans in Piraeus with his consistent performances. The 25-year-old Owerri-born left-back featured for 63 minutes in the match before making way for Francisco Ortega.
His solid defensive display capped off a successful debut season, playing a key role in Olympiacos’ title-winning run.
