Burna Boy Becomes First African Artist To Reach 1 Billion Mark on Audiomack

Burna Boy has made history by becoming the first African artist to record one billion streams on Audiomack. Audiomack’s official Twitter account announced this milestone today, June 22nd 2023. In becoming the first African act to hit this mark on the music streaming app, Burna Boy continues a string of trailblazing successes. On June 3, 2023, he became the first African artist to headline a stadium in Europe, selling 60,000 tickets at the London Stadium.

On June 10th, barely a week after headlining at the London Stadium, he performed at yet another European Stadium. This time, becoming the first African act to perform at the UEFA Champions League Final, after delivering an energetic performance at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul.

Unsurprisingly, the trio of Burna Boy’s Grammy nominated albums; African Giant, Twice As Tall and Love, Damini are his most streamed tapes on the platform. Love Damini has amassed nearly 316 million streams, while Twice As Tall has 256 million streams and African Giant has over 120 million streams. His most popular songs on Audiomack include Grammy nominated single Last Last, Ed Sheeran-assisted smash hit, For My Hands and fan favorite It’s Plenty. With his new single, Sittin’ On Top Of The World, out and popping, Burna Boy is certainly on the path of global domination.
