Brighton FC has completed the signing of Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on a free transfer from Paris FC. She will officially join the English Club upon the expiration of her contract with the Parisian Club on July 1.
A commanding presence between the sticks, she brings a wealth of experience and superhuman abilities to the side that finished 5th in the Women’s Super League last season. She departed France after a memorable season with Paris FC, leading them to a historic Coupe de France Féminine title.
The two-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year was a driving force behind Paris FC’s rise in the French Première Ligue during her stint with the club, clinching the D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season Award and earning a spot in the Team of the Season at the end of the 2023/2024 season. Chiamaka is not a stranger to the big occasions, having made 16 European appearances for Paris FC between 2022 and 2025 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
A full-fledged Nigerian international, Chiamaka made her debut for the Super Falcons in 2018, at 18, and she has made 55 international appearances. An avid record breaker, she announced her name to the world spectacularly at the 2019 FIFA World Cup and became the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in a FIFA World Cup game. The Super Falcons skipper expressed her delight and happiness at signing for Brighton, having immediately fallen in love with the club. She declared that she is ready to win games and trophies with the club. Her signing could mark the start of something special for the club and player.

Brighton manager Dario Vidosic expressed his satisfaction with the new signing: “She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line. We’re confident she’ll add both depth and drive to a squad already full of ambition as we continue to build for next season.”
With her club career sorted out, she can turn her full attention to the WAFCON tournament next month, aiming to lead the Super Falcons to continental glory.
