Chief Dejjy’s debut EP “Chief of Chiefs” is aptly named.

If you have been eagerly anticipating Chief Dejjy’s debut body of work, the wait is officially over. The self-acclaimed chief of Afrobeats is out with an aptly named EP, “Chief of Chiefs,” and it’s an absolute beauty to behold. In 7 songs and 20 minutes, the New York-based Nigerian youngster demonstrates why he is so highly regarded among fans and critics who have experienced his music.

Led by the groovy lead single “Rock n Roll,” “Chief of Chiefs” explores Afrofusion sounds en route to creating this concise and coherent project. From thankful reflections on his journey on “Don See” and “Thank God” to party starters like “Friday Nite” and the aforementioned lead single, Chief Dejjy has something for everyone on his debut.

He’s in good company, too, inviting the talented voices of Jamopyper, DolapoTheVibe, Big Sheff, Sipi, and Sjxy to partake in his festival of good music. Chief Dejjy has received cosigns in the form of tour invitations from Burna Boy, Olamide, Tekno, and LAX, and “Chief of Chiefs” further confirms his considerable ability. This spanking new project is available on all streaming platforms; join Chief Dejjy as he tells his story through Afrobeats music.
