Following a breakout year that cemented her status as one of Afrobeat’s most thrilling new voices, singer and songwriter Deola has captivated the global stage once again with the release of her potent two-song package, Composure and Kawosoke.
This dynamic release arrives on the crest of massive momentum generated by her previous single, Jaiye (Remix) featuring Hotkeed. The track became an undeniable viral hit, amassing over 300,000 streams across platforms within its first month and inspiring a massive organic response on TikTok, with over 1,000 user-generated videos capturing the song’s infectious energy.
The new release showcases the dual facets of her artistry. Composure is a sultry, Afro-fusion and Afro-soul infused anthem that simmers with controlled passion. With confessional lyrics like “boy you got me outta my mind / I get this feeling can’t deny,” Deola masterfully balances sensuality with a sense of deep, personal empowerment, highlighting her futuristic inclinations within the genre.

In stark contrast, Kawosoke (a Yoruba term translating to “lift your hand up”) serves as the project’s explosive counterpoint. It is a pure, unadulterated Afro-house anthem built for movement, with its catchy hook, “see me I go shake my body, forgeti all my worries,” acting as a mantra for liberation and primed for parties, clubs, and global festivals.
Of the new tracks, Deola says, “Composure and Kawosoke are all about movement, joy, and pure vibes. I wanted to create something that lifts your spirit the moment the beat drops,”
This release also strategically sets the stage for “Dee’s Room,” Deola’s highly anticipated live performance event on October 11, 2025, where fans experienced the new singles performed live on stage.
With her unique blend of Afro-fusion, Afro-house, and Afro-soul, Deola continues to carve out a distinct and compelling lane for herself among the new generation of global Afrobeat artists.
