Drazz: The Resilient Voice of a New Generation in Afrobeats

In the nation’s capital, Abuja, a new sound wave of Afrobeats is burgeoning, and Drazz is at the forefront of it. Born Divine Otu Enyia in Calabar, Cross River State, Drazz is revered for his dynamic blending of lyrical depth with subtle confidence, resilience, and style. Proudly representing Abuja, Drazz is not just making music — he’s building a movement.

With a strong educational background, including a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law, Drazz has carved his path in music not just for the passion but with purpose — “I wanted to understand how copyright in music works… make dem no thief my song,” he says. Welding a calm yet commanding voice, he delivers powerful messages to uplift and empower. “I’m trying to give people confidence in a subtle way. My words can move mountains,” he explains.

It’s no brainer that his fusion of intellect and artistry sets him apart in an industry where originality and ownership matter more than ever.

As a proud alumnus of a military secondary school, Drazz channels his experience into his art, symbolized by the military helmet emoji seen across his content — a nod to the battles he’s fought and the resilience that fuels his journey. “I’ve been doing music for over 10 years now, and I’m still standing strong. Like an army man, I move forward with my fans — the Drazz Army — onward together.”

Since his debut song, SOMO dropped back in SS1 and became a local hit, Drazz has steadily grown his following, especially after reigniting his musical journey last year. “Everything has been working out so well. It’s as though God is compensating me and giving me reason to keep going.”

In more ways than one, Drazz’s previous release, John Cena, captures his identity perfectly: “John Cena looks small, but he could do what big people couldn’t. That’s how I see myself — I may look small, but what’s inside me is great.”

Reinstating himself as one of the most promising artists out of Abuja, he delivers his latest single, Dangote — an anthem inspired by the hustle and resilience of Africa’s richest man.

“Dangote came from wealth, yes, but he still worked his way to the top. That’s the mindset I want for myself and my fans.”

Beyond his artistry, Drazz is a visionary. With a clear mission to represent his city and community while inspiring a global audience, he’s a name to watch in the Afrobeat revolution.
