ETINS RECORDS WELCOMES GROUNDBREAKING NEW ARTIST, HAMMERBOI.

ETINS  Records are once again redefining Afrobeats with the inclusion of Benin-born music producer, singer and songwriter Hammerboi into their stable. Hammerboi joins a star studded roster of emerging talents in the Afrobeats scene who have always strived to push boundaries with their innovative brands of Afrobeats.

That roster includes “Wetin” crooner Yarden, who took the continent by storm with the TikTok sound-inspired hit. The singer’s breakout hit ‘‘Wetin’ has now ’amassed over 105,000 creations on Tiktok, and an incredible 400,000 Shazams with over 80 million streams on all platforms. This was followed by his critically acclaimed project “The One Who Descends.”

Including his accomplishment as an artist on the label, Yarden has cultivated a dedicated fan base known as “The Descendants” who are willing to go to  war for him. These fans have been instrumental in his journey to over 65 million streams on Spotify alone, with just one project and a handful of features.

Founded by Edwin Etinosa Ehiorobo, ETINS RECORDS has been a movement for showcasing young talents across the country.

They have consistently launched the careers for artists such as Victor AD who infused the sound of urban Warri into Afrobeats in 2018, Morien who made a cocktail of R&B and gyration on his eponymous debut EP in 2019, and Yarden who continues to infuse elements of hip hop, R&B and 80’s pop into his unique Afro- sound.

Hammerboi aims to follow in those footsteps with his prominent use of the Bini language  in his lyrics, as can be heard on “Edamwen”. His TikTok hit “Ighodefeyi” is a reimagination of the legendary song of the same name by Edo music legend Osayomore Joseph.

ETINS RECORDS also previously promoted Morien who made waves with his two EPs “Morien” and “Harmony on Your Lips.” His singles “Terminator” and “Plenty Money” helped gain traction for the singer both locally and abroad due to their Afro-fusion sound and great visuals.

The label’s strategy often involves aligning new releases with music videos and social media engagement to boost visibility. Their promotional efforts on platforms like TikTok and Shazam have helped artists like Yarden and Morien connect with a broad audience, emphasizing ETINS RECORDS’ commitment to supporting talent with ambitious, world-class production goals.

ETINS is thrilled for the world to get to know Hammerboi and his unique sound. You can reach Hammerboi on his social media handles @Hammerboimusic on TikTok and Instagram, and  X.

The Architect of the New Wave: Kblacktheblack’s Rise and Sonic Evolution In the rapidly expanding universe of Nigerian music, Iborn Ogbuluijah Kenneth Nsan is carving out a distinct lane for himself. Known professionally as Kblacktheblack—or simply SBB to his growing fanbase—he represents the new vanguard of hip-hop artists who are reshaping the sonic landscape of the continent. He is not merely a rapper; he is a curator of culture, blending the rhythmic heartbeat of his city with a contemporary vision that aims to influence African pop culture through music, fashion, and creative direction. His goal is ambitious yet clear: to leave a lasting impact on the cultural landscape and shape the narrative for the next generation of creatives. At the core of Kblacktheblack’s artistry lies a firm commitment to three values: respect, authenticity, and creativity. His discography, which already boasts two EPs and a slew of charting singles, serves as a mirror to society. He specializes in weaving infectious rhythms with lyrics that cut deep into personal experiences and the daily societal bustle. This dedication to his craft has earned him recognition on DSP charts and placements on international editorial playlists, proving that his sound resonates far beyond his immediate community. What truly sets him apart, however, is the holistic "SBB experience." He is celebrated for an electrifying stage presence that transforms every performance into a memorable event, coupled with a penchant for out-of-the-box lyricism and innovative production that consistently defies standard genre constraints. This versatility is currently on full display through his two latest releases, which highlight the duality of his sound. His newest anthem, "Hustler," featuring Hollerdotun, captures the gritty essence of ambition. The track serves as a soundtrack for the relentless go-getters, a theme visually underscored by its striking cover art featuring a stack of cash balanced precariously on the head—a metaphor for the heavy lifting required in the pursuit of success. It is a raw, energetic offering that speaks directly to the reality of the street hustle and the determination required to thrive. On the other end of the spectrum is the double-release "Impatient/Garage Refix," which dropped on November 20th. Including the tracks "Impatient" and "Impatient II," this project showcases a more introspective and experimental side of the artist. The visual direction suggests a moody, emotive narrative, while the "Garage Refix" inclusion hints at a fusion of his signature flow with fast-paced, electronic-influenced percussion. By seamlessly navigating between the hard-hitting bars of "Hustler" and the experimental textures of "Impatient," Kblacktheblack proves he is a musical shapeshifter, positioning himself as a pivotal figure who is not just participating in the culture, but actively defining its future.
