From beats to records, the journey of a Nigerian Music Producer knows no bounds. Joshua Abba Jeremiah aka “Hitsound” is a record producer, songwriter, and entrepreneur, and has begun his quest to break the Guinness World Record of the longest recording marathon with multiple artists.

Hitsound who hails from Kogi state, doubles as a YouTuber and is revered across social media platforms for consistently making type beats and instrumentals. Having come from a musical-inclined family, Hitsound’s journey to music production and sound engineering began at the age of 15 and has been nothing short of remarkable. Not only has he garnered a massive following online but takes the lead in the wave of Nigerian music, by tutoring young producers and also working with an array of budding talents and emerging artists. Known for his unique sound and versatility in Afrobeats, and Afropop amongst other genres, Hitsound has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry like Ayra Starr, Joeboy, and Moelogo thereby crafting a name for himself.

Hitsound’s Quest For Guinness World Record

His attempt to break the world record embarked on the 28th of September, 2023 after months of mental and physical preparedness, and is set to end on the 31st of September, making a total of 72 hours. The music producer not only aims to surpass the current record of 40 hours, 19 minutes, held by a Nigerian musician and filmmaker,  Hawwal Emmanuel Ogungbadero but also to mark a 72-hour feat and possibly 100 hours.

Joshua Abba Jeremiah (Hitsound) aims to work with 30 artists on 367 beats for 72 hours. This groundbreaking feat is set to recognize the creativity and honor the talent of the Nigerian Music producer and of course, test his endurance but Hitsound is remarkably doing justice to this.

Hitsound’s determination knows no bounds as he clocks in at an impressive 40 hours in his relentless pursuit of the Guinness World Record for the longest recording session. The event is currently being live-streamed across social platforms and is taking place at the Echo Room – 1B Akinyemi Avenue, Elf Bus stop, Lekki 101233, Lagos.
