It is no news that Port Harcourt, fondly referred to as PH City has produced some of the greatest talents that the Nigerian music industry has ever seen. From self-acclaimed Port Harcourt First Son, Duncan Mighty to Grammy Award-winning superstar Burna Boy, down to Omah Lay, Ajebo Hustlers, Ogranya and Prettyboy D-O, the list is a long and illustrious one. Geoxpress seems to be the latest in line, flying the PH City flag, and with his latest offering Apollo, he is sure flying it high.

Apollo by Geoxpress is a two-pack single with which, the singer intends to make a statement. On his Spotify, the tagline of the single is “Enter Their Eyes like Apollo!!!”, a testament to his desire to find fame. Thankfully, Geoxpress’ talent matches his hunger and desire. On Prophesy, he expresses his feelings for a love interest. Booty Bounce is more raunchy in subject, as the name suggests.  While Geoxpress’ lyricism on both tracks is impressive, it is his ability to flow on a beat that makes this pack amazing.

Geoxpress’ use of English and PH lingo makes the songs familiar, yet quite refreshing. It puts him in an elite class of songwriters, that create vivid imagery with their words. The shakers on Booty Bounce adds a perfect touch of Amapiano to the Afrobeats track. It is a sure party starter that gets you bumping your head and moving your body, in no time. Prophesy is midtempo, yet quite groovy. Geoxpress sings as a man aware of his capability to get a crowd going. Prophesy has the makings of a crowd favourite at concerts. He combined these with top notch production from TNT Baby, to make beautiful Afrofusion music, that is superb by any standards. All in all, Geoxpress shows that he is one to look out for.
