It’s Women’s History Month; a month to celebrate the existence and dynamic nature of womanhood, while promoting justice and equal rights. In a world where women are forced to yield to societal misconstructs and narratives, there are still women who are defying the odds, shaping narratives with their voices and relentlessly taking the front lines. The British-Nigerian entrepreneur is best known as the founder of Street Souk, the largest convention of streetwear brands in West Africa. Ireti also serves as the community manager at Metallic Inc, and the fashion curator for Our Homecoming music festival in affiliation with Street Souk. This year, The Business of Fashion lauded Ireti as one of The Gatekeepers to Nigeria’s Fashion Market.
