Dirtyboy, or JamesO as he is fondly known, is a 27-year-old producer from Oyo State, Nigeria & the Main Producer of Fresh Records, an indie record label based in Cincinnati, Ohio. After migrating to America at a young age, James kept to his musical roots, listening to Fuji Music and Afrobeats. James first started producing at age 11. Since then, he has been developing his talent, making him one of the most experienced producers in the Underground Midwest scene.
Prior to graduating from the University of Cincinnati, he established valuable relationships with many other creatives in the city and across the African Diasporan community through hosting a number of shows & events. Since graduating, he’s been all about Afrobeats, Dancehall and Afro-Fusion production. Besides producing, he’s also a member of the 513 Vybz trio, a group that has been curating the most successful Afrobeats events in the Cincinnati area.
