Since premiering on Disney+ in March 2024, Madu has earned critical acclaim and international recognition. Benson, also known for Daughters of Chibok, expressed pride in the nominations, highlighting the global appetite for authentic African stories.

The 46th Emmy Awards will take place in New York City on June 25–26, 2025.
