Nigerian underground hip-hop scene is an untapped depot of talents with unique stories to tell and King V.I.N is one at the forefront of these tales.

After his official debut single which was released in 2020 ‘Hurt My Soul’ which went on to become a sleeper hit gaining over Two hundred thousand streams globally, he’s gone to gather a budding and devout following who he calls his ‘Slimes’.

On his debut project, the Lagos-born rapper flexes his lyrical prowess over heavy trap beats produced by Vo Hawks and subtle drums and snares on Ghoswav-produced tracks in a confident rather than cocky manner which could be easily misconstrued.
On Only For The Slimes, V.I.N talks about his life experiences over the past year. His transition from the gritty streets of Lagos to adapting to life in Europe, dealing with grief, finding and losing love. The project embodies contrasting emotions which influenced the artistic direction of the project.
From the first line on the project, “Mo riches, I came up from rags”, to the closing adlib ‘pour out my heart everytime that I rhyme” he gives listen an insight to how far he has come as a person and also as an artiste.

Vincent Ifediba Jr. aka King V.I.N doesn’t hold back on this project as his ultimate goal when setting out to make this project was to share his unfiltered truths with his listeners. In today world dominated by adulterated raps, Only For the Slimes is an unparalleled poetic spectacle.
