Meet Michael Khan, the artiste with a dream bigger than Himself.

49th

On this new interview episode, in which we explore the life of the artiste beyond the music and spotlight, we present Michael Khan.

49th Street: Can you briefly tell us who Michael Khan is?

Michael: Michael is just another guy you can meet on the road, walking down to the grocery store with a dream bigger than himself.

49th Street: How long have you been an artiste?

Michael: I think, for about three months now. Well, I did a little something (A track) back in high school, but I didn’t follow it up.

49th Street: Your sound is quite unconventional. What would you tag the genre as?

Michael: I’m a multi-genre artist. I can’t pick a genre that I fully belong to.  I have two tracks coming soon and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

49th Street: Who were your earliest music influences?

Michael: Celine Dion. Maybe West Life, but basically anyone that has good music out there, and I heard it. It inspired me to be the artist I am today.

49th Street: What/ who inspired you to go into music?

Michael: Well. All my life, I always heard a tune play in my head and I’d try to make a song out of it. Not until recently, I started making full songs out of the tune and my girl ended up liking most of my songs. She fully motivated to go the studio, saying ‘If it wasn’t sounding good Michael, I wouldn’t encourage you to spend your dollars in a studio.’

49th Street: You released Hold Me not quite long ago. How has the reception been?

Michael: Well, Hold Me was my debut single. And a lot of people I know and follow my social media never thought I had it in me to produce a song like Hold Me. And I won’t lie, for a second I doubted myself but Hold Me gave me the confidence I’ve been looking for and I like that. I get random people hitting me up on social media saying they like my song and that means a lot to me.

49th Street: How easy or difficult has your journey in music been?

Michael: The most stressful so far. But, I give God all the glory.

49th Street: What motivates you to keep going?

Michael: Failure isn’t an option. I have promises to make and I never want to regret not taking music serious when am in my 40s.

49th Street: What are your plans for the future? Any project coming out soon?

Michael: I have two massive songs dropping soon. They sound really good. People I’ve played it to say it sounds like a song you would hear when you go to the mall and clubs and I’m really happy for the exciting feedbacks.

49th Street: What advice have you been able to pick up so far that you think others like you need to understand for the music?

Michael: All I can say is: When you find your voice, everything becomes a little bit easy.

49th Street: Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?

Michael: Wow, I got fans! Um, thank you for believing in me. I love you all.
