The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of new head coaches for two of the country’s youth national teams.
Veteran coach Manu Garba has been named the new head coach of the Golden Eaglets (U17 Boys). Garba, who famously led Nigeria to win the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2013, returns to the role ahead of the WAFU B U17 Tournament set to take place in Nigeria this September.

Meanwhile, Moses Aduku has been appointed as head coach of the Falconets (U20 girls). Aduku brings years of experience from the Nigerian Women’s Football League, having coached Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens. He will lead the Falconets in their 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda later this year.

The two newly appointed coaches are expected to officially take charge this weekend as preparations get underway. The Falconets will gear up for a vital clash against Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers slated for September. At the same time, the Golden Eaglets will begin their campaign to re-establish supremacy in the WAFU B U-17 tournament, also set to take place in September.
The appointments reflect the NFF’s aim to build continuity and success across youth national teams.
