Nigerian-born and UK-based, Dkizz is a newcomer Afro-pop singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey at the age of 15 after discovering his ability to play various musical instruments at his family church. Back then he would do freestyles to gospel beats and write gospel raps which he performed at social events in his school.After going through that phase and seeing how much people loved his little freestyles and raps, he decided to look for a recording studio which his first recording session was financed by his mum who saw his passion for music.
Since then, he has released a couple singles and collaborated with a few rising artist that sparked the attention of some industry heavy-weights which then made him take a break to work on perfecting his craft. Right now he is back with his first official release titled “Show Me” which is a euphoric song that emphasises positive messages of love and affection with an upbeat afro-beats sound. “Show Me” is a track which was recorded and produced across zoom sessions due to the global pandemic. The song is about re-uniting with a long-lust crush and agreeing to open-up about their feelings with each other. In this track he is able to showcase a part of his culture by infusing some African lingos and slangs.
