OluwaMillar Unleashes Hot New Anthem, “Alubarika”

49th

Good things come to those who wait, and Hip-Hop fans who have been patiently awaiting a new drop from the charismatic MC OluwaMillar are in for a blast. It all begins with a banging new bop titled, “Alubarika” on which the Oyo-born rapper takes us into deep waters of his phenomenal artistry.

OluwaMillar left thousands of jaws hanging with the release of his two-pack single, which housed the hit tracks “Agbalabi” and “Beef Deyy.” The former record stole the show, earning co-signs from heavyweights like Mojo, Moelogo and Wretch32. The rapper has since then been in high demand, shutting down shows across the Southwest and bringing his A-game whenever he is summoned for a feature. However, he’s also been hard at work cooking up a feast of rap music he is now ready to serve. If you thought “Agbalabi” was his Magnus opus, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Produced by his frequent collaborator Dinho, “Alubarika” is unapologetically an anthem. OluwaMillar refuses to succumb to any form of debates, pertaining to “best rapper” discourse. Which is ironic because he puts in a shift worthy of being bestowed said title. He dishes out “pause-and-let-it-sink-in” punchlines, whilst using a super refined cadence that keeps the listeners immersed throughout the entirety of the song. He glides over the Hip-Hop instrumental and its drums, snares and trumpets smoothly—clearing any doubt in the mind of folks who think he is a one-dimensional, drill artist.

“Alubarika” is lyrically emphatic and sonically riveting. And as OluwaMillar raps on the 3:27 mark of the track, this is just a tip of the iceberg pertaining to what’s to come. “Alubarika” is the first single off a brilliant debut project in its final stages.
