Their innumerable contributions to YBNL played a major role in the label’s success and they also made a name for themselves in other prospects.
JELO dropped hot on the heels of the Amapiano-fusion Yolo, which racked up over 3.9 million streams and 1.8 million YouTube views on the music video. About Pheelz:
Pheelz writes from his heart and sings from his soul. Over the past few years, he has seamlessly navigated sonic soundscapes that tread the borders of Afrobeats, R&B and mainstream pop—using candid emotions and resonant melodies to convey emotions and strike meaningful connections with listeners. Songs like Finesse ft. BNXN, have made an impact, bringing Pheelz boundary-pushing music and intense, heartwarming emotion to the zenith of the charts in the UK and Nigeria. Pheelz has been gearing up for this moment since he was a kid. Born Kayode Phillips Moses in 1994, he grew up in a staunch musical background that gave him affinity for playing the Keyboard in the church run by his father, a pastor in Lagos.
He soon began producing and landed his first hit at 16—First Of All by Olamide, a groovy electronic infused Hip-Hop jam. Ever since, Pheelz has become one of Nigeria’s most in-demand producers in the last decade and even in the current. His artist roster collaboration includes stars like M.I., Mr. Eazi and more. In 2020, he bagged the Producer Of The Year Award at the Headies and, in 2021, released his debut EP, Hear Me Out, which unleashed him as an artist, alongside his special offerings. The success of Finesse leveled Pheelz up, and now he’s made it his mission to put all of himself into his songs. After inking a huge deal with Warner Records, he announced, “I’ve been plotting for years. I was ready. I am ready.”
