Rebecca Winter renders a heartfelt single with Somebody Else

49th

Rebecca Winter is an independent afro-fusion artist of Nigerian descent, hailing from West London,
who skilfully blends Afrobeats with Soul, R&B and Pop to give us addictive yet mature tones.
Rebecca’s new single ‘Somebody Else’ is to be released via all major digital streaming platforms, on
the 28th of May.

Opening for Burna Boy on his African Giant tour, winning awards such as Best Female Artist at the
Legacy Awards in 2019, plus the release of her 5-track EP ‘Rare’, all set the tone for Rebecca as ‘one
to watch’ in 2021. In addition, her 2020 singles: Selfish and Tell Me accelerated her position in the
genre, with the feel-good vibe she presents in her music being something to look forward to.

Following a little social media love from Damson Idris and the release of her first single of this year: Diamonds, which has received well over a combined 100,000 streams – it seems it would be key to keep an eye on her.

Somebody Else combines Afrobeats and a soft Pop melody for a heartfelt, lyric-heavy track fr
Rebecca. This single has love and uncertainty at the forefront, and ultimately, depicts how she
deserves to be treated better than what she has been receiving. As summertime is fast approaching;
this song makes for a smooth transition into the sunny period, and a pop must-have on playlists and radios.
