The relationship between Nigeria and Ghana has grown beyond behind West African neighbours although over the years the relationship has had a fair share of highs and lows, but on the music front Nigeria and Ghana keep on uniting to keep on giving hits upon hits despite the language difference. Here are some of the collaborations between the two nations;

VIP ft Tetuila – Ahomka Womu: This collaboration was the begining of better things to come for the romance between Nigeria and Ghana on the music scene. This collabo was the first between Nigeria and Ghana in early 2000s; the rise of pop music. Ahomka Womu was released in 2004 off the album titled Ahomka Womu and it featured Tony Tetuila. Ahomka Womu spread like wild fire upon its release, it was too good to refuse.

Tic Tac ft Tony Tetuila – Fefe Ne Efe: A smash hit released in 2004, a perfect blend of the Ghanaian hiplife with the Nigerian flavour.

Tony Tetuila ft VIP- Two Women: Tetuila and VIP link up once again to deliver another banging tune. Upon its release in 2006, it was an instant hit. Tetuila tells his story, his delima of being unable to pick between two women he loves in a comical way.

2Baba ft VIP – True Love: Released off his solphomore album released in 2006, Grass to Grace, True Love featured Ghanaian group VIP and it was an instant success. True Love is an example of the perfect blend of the Nigerian pop sound and the Ghanaian flavour.

R2Bees ft Wande Coal – Kiss your hand: Dropped off R2Bees’ 2009 album, Da Revolution, Kiss your Hand did not just take the romance betweeen Nigeria and Ghana to the next level, it shook the continent. Kiss your hand was the ticket for the R2Bees to break on to the mainstream scene in Nigeria.

Ice Prince ft Sarkodie – Shots on Shots: Ice Prince teams up with Sarokie to produce one of the hardest rap songs of 2014, which also happens to be the first collaboration between the two rappers.

R2bees ft Wiz – Slow down: Released in 2014, R2bees linked up with Wizkid to produce a slow tempo yet irrestible tune. Slow Down was the beginning of a bromance that has delivered hits upon hits. It’s one of the songs that further fostered the romance between Nigeria and Ghana on the music scene.
