Rotex eulogizes the African woman with latest single, Sisi

Eclectic in his approach, Lagos-born Rotimi “Rotex” Omotayo-Ojo embodies Nigeria’s
alternative music scene, and his multi-tribal influences can be heard in his novel sound.

Rotex’s signature avant-garde, eccentric, distinctive vibe appeals to true music lovers,
passionate enthusiasts, live set fans and appreciators of instrumentalism. As his sound
gains momentum across Nigeria and the globe, it is also drawing attention from seasoned
musical stars which have led to collaborations and live event opening performances for
Davido, VectorthaViper, Teni, ShowDemCamp amongst a few others.

His notable releases “Energy”, ”Kumbaye” with Los Angeles–Lebanon based producer,
Offrami are fan favourites. Energy especially is an anthem. A feature on gyrating ”Call the
Police” with Los Angeles based producer Valleyz, Canadian-Lebanese singer, Mougleta and
Producer Offrami have been garnering international airplay and fan support from across
the globe – From London to Denmark.
“Sisi”, Rotex’s latest release, describes and eulogizes the young African woman in her
elegance, royal grace, subtle power. It’s an admiration of how she handles her business with
empathy and intelligence. The song was produced by Midas touch producer, Spax, famed
for his work with Oxlade, Tems, and ShowDemCamp and it is one of Rotex’s first offerings
ahead of an EP slated for release this year.
