Mohamed Salah capped off an incredible 2024/2025 season by becoming the first footballer to win all the major Premier League Awards in the same season: the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Playmaker Award. The Egyptian winger has been voted Premier League Player of the Season for the second time in his career after his scintillating form led Liverpool to a record-equalling 20th English top-flight title.
Subsequently, he became the fifth footballer in PL history to win the award on multiple occasions, joining Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidić, and Kevin De Bruyne in an elite company. Liverpool’s Egyptian King is the first non-Manchester City player to win the award since Virgil Van Dijk in the 2018/2019 season, pipping the likes of teammate Ryan Gravenberch, Declan Rice, Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, and Chris Wood to the prestigious award.
Mohamed Salah has been extraordinarily brilliant for Liverpool this season, spearheading their title triumph single-handedly. The Egyptian winger registered a staggering 29 goals and 18 assists across 38 league appearances for Liverpool, clinching the Golden Boot as well as the Playmaker of the Season award. It is the second time Salah has won both the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards in the same season, replicating his efforts from the 2021/2022 season. Additionally, Salah bagged a record-equalling third FWA Footballer of the Year award for the 2024/2025 season last week. All the awards, one man. An otherworldly brilliance!
