I think I speak for all of us when I say I am absolutely elated for Santi’s next drop. The alternative-fusion singer-songwriter, filmaker, creative director, and music video director, recently dropped the cover of his next album, along with creatively done snippets of each song on his instagram page (@cruelsantino).
The 21 track album is called Subaru Boys : FINAL HEAVEN. Featuring a multitude of talents; from impressive producers such as Tochi Bedford and Le Mav to musicians like Koffee and Gus Dapperton. The sounds from the album are nothing short of transcending; reeling you in to ride on their melodies. Accompanied by some of our favourite musicians such as Amaarae, Odunsi, Maison2500, and Skepta.
The album is split up into 4 visual arcs; accompanied by an Evangelion type animated character at the side of each track-list. This method of promoting the album showcases Santi’s creativity while giving way for incredibly talented graphic designers; Ogbuike David (@ogb0010) and (@u.c1_37).
The album is long awaited; with fans baiting Santi out on social media, begging and bullying him to release new music. Thank the lord he finally decided to listen and give the people what we want. You can bet I will be back on the 4th of March to sing praises!
