Fast-rising artist Moshood Adenekan,(a.k.a Shoody B) has arrived with what seems to be the missing piece in the music industry. The journey which began back in 2016 purely as a hobby, has amassed into the story of a multitalented vocalist. Influenced into music by his father, the 23 year-old stormed the industry in January 2022, when he officially released his first single titled Amazing grace
His new mixtape, (Amazing Grace The EP) is a set of vocal explorations of hope & grace. That sense of flow has been influenced heavily by his locale, where he had to deal with the trials and tribulations of society.
Music for him is a feeling of freedom from within, when asked what inspired this project, he replies saying; “I’ve had to deal with a lot these past few years, mentally and emotionally.
Most of it really came down to bad choices and evil friends”.
The mixtape takes on a life of its own, each song uniquely created, come together to form an out of box expression of pure emotion. From songs like “Amazing Grace” which soulfully embraces the choir like harmonies and a declaration of the youth reality.. “praying daily, sinning daily”. A different genre of music comes into play as we engage the “Shoody Riddim”. A catchy hip-hop anthem from the drop of the beat, set to keep your feet tapping. A somewhat playlist favorite “Social wreck” displays his creative motion and diverse flow. Other songs like “One Day” and “Can’t See” are industrial masterpieces sending listeners into a trance of recurrent nature.
