Spotify announced today the launch of Listening Stats, a new feature designed to give users a fun and shareable snapshot of their weekly music listening. This innovation provides a real-time window into personal musical tastes, offering a dynamic way for listeners to relive and celebrate their recent audio journey.
The feature updates every 24 hours, ensuring the insights and recommendations remain fresh and relevant to a user’s current habits. Each week, listeners will be presented with a detailed look at their top artists and songs, alongside automatically generated playlists inspired by what they’ve been playing.
These curated playlists are designed not only to reflect recent listening but also to suggest what they might want to queue up next. Adding a layer of personalization, the experience includes a special highlight for each user. This unique insight could celebrate a new artist discovery, a significant listening milestone, or a niche genre that showcases what makes their taste distinct.

Understanding that music is a social experience, Spotify has integrated easy sharing options directly into the feature. Users can post their Listening Stats to social media to compare tastes with friends, family, and coworkers, fostering a new way to connect over shared—or differing—musical preferences.
This new offering builds on Spotify’s legacy of personalized experiences like daylist, Release Radar, and Discover Weekly, helping users explore their unique music taste and uncover new favorites along the way. Furthermore, Listening Stats serves as the perfect ongoing warm-up to Spotify’s beloved year-end celebration, Wrapped, providing a weekly dose of musical reflection and discovery throughout the year.
Listening Stats is now rolling out to Spotify users globally on iOS and Android devices. To view your personal stats, navigate to the Home tab in the Spotify app.
