One of the visual creatives taking over the world is none other than Gabriel Moses, the self-taught photographer, filmmaker, and director creating some of the world’s finest art pieces. His photos convey meanings deeper than the surface and depict emotions and feelings, as do his films.
Born in Peckham, South London, with Nigerian heritage, Gabriel Moses started his journey as a teenager with a camera. He captured beautiful, stunning images, filmed, and documented things around him, including his friends playing football. He later shared these on YouTube, building a following and audience for his work. This led to him getting a commission from Nike, where he directed an advert campaign at just the age of 18. This was only the beginning of what the world was about to see and feel from Gabriel Moses. He went on to create amazing, stunning advert campaigns for huge brands in the fashion industry such as Burberry, Adidas, Dior, and Cortiez.
Gabriel Moses has also directed some of the most aesthetically pleasing music videos and visuals of this decade, showcasing his signature style without having to mention it. Examples include Travis Scott’s ‘FE!N’ video, which creatively matches the music, vibes, and scenes, all blending together, and Schoolboy Q’s ‘Lost Times’ video.
His visual and film catalog includes ‘Anok Yai’, a visual featuring American model Anok Yai, ‘YE’ featuring American musician Kanye West, a film for Real Madrid & Adidas Football, a collaboration film with Pharrell Williams titled ‘ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT SPORT’ set in Dakar, Senegal, showcasing the celebration of sport, culture, and human connection, ‘FATIMA’ starring Travis Scott, and most recently, the visuals for Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ album.
In 2023, Gabriel Moses revealed his first exhibition titled ‘REGINA’ at 180 Studios from April 5th to 30th, 2023. This exhibition featured over 50 photographs from his career, spanning music, sport, fashion, and some newly revealed images. The exhibition also premiered two short films that showed his connection to his roots in Nigeria. His first solo exhibition in the United States was titled ‘MARSHA’, followed by a Milan exhibition on March 27, 2024, and his most recent exhibition ‘FATIMA’, which is running from November 14th to December 20th, 2024 in New York and includes a film featuring Travis Scott.
Some of Gabriel Moses’ photography collections include photographs of Jude Bellingham for Louis Vuitton, Karim Mostafa Benzema for GQ, Los Blancos for Real Madrid, a Google Pixel 8 phone photography ad, and most recently, the cover for ‘Kese (Dance)’ single off Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ album. Aside from his work collection and shooting covers for magazines such as Dazed, Arena Homme+, THE FACE, and more, Gabriel Moses has also graced the cover of I-D and Arena Homme+.
Gabriel also released his book, his first monograph published in June 2024, featuring a series of essays including a foreword by Moses himself with contributions from Skepta, Clint, and Nick Knight. He gave a lecture at Oxford University, became a member of the creative class of Business of Fashion in 2023, and most recently designed the 2025 BRIT Award trophy.
Since Gabriel Moses picked up a camera, he has blessed the world with his creativity and beautiful creations. We eagerly look forward to more of his work.
