The Alté music scene would not be what it is today without key players like Tochi Bedford, a prolific and incredibly talented producer and artist bursting onto the scene with music that is sonically superb.
Tochi Bedford made his debut in Nigeria’s Alté scene in 2020, collaborating with Dndsection and Odunsi The Engine as both a lead artist and producer. His work quickly caught the eye of other artists in the Alté community, leading to the release of ‘Disintegrate’ featuring Cruel Santino that same year. Since then, Tochi Bedford has consistently put out his own self-produced tracks while also producing for a range of emerging talents and globally recognized artists.
Over the years, Tochi’s production credits have spanned notable music projects of this decade, including the critically acclaimed Subaru Boys: FINAL HEAVEN by Cruel Santino, where he produced tracks such as ‘Dirty Eyes, Evil Manners’ ft. Skepta, ‘I Told Gus I’m Dreamin,’ and ‘Beautiful Nothing’ ft. Gus Dapperton. Another notable work is his production contribution to Amaarae’s critically acclaimed LP Fountain Baby, where he produced the hit song ‘Princess Going Digital,’ which featured on Rolling Stone’s list of top 40 best Afropop songs of 2023, ranking at the 3rd spot.
Tochi Bedford also has a solid artist discography with amazing songs from his official debut release ‘Feel It’ in 2017, ‘End Of The Line,’ and ‘2018,’ among others. He also has four EPs: Eternal Mob, After Eternity, Half Blue, and his most recent one, Legend Has It. Tochi has been featured on multiple projects such as NATIVEWORLD by Native Sound System and Chapter 44: Lost Files, by 44DB Collective, a collective he founded, consisting of producers who have produced hit songs resonating across the airwaves.
With a strong love and passion for music, Tochi Bedford is using his sound and creative abilities to create songs that are generational.
