Nigerian fast-food giant Tantalizers Plc has made a bold move into the entertainment sector by acquiring Grand Media Projects Limited, the production company founded by renowned filmmaker Tade Ogidan.
Announced on May 17, 2025, the acquisition furthered Tantalizers’ foray outside the food industry. The company says the deal is part of its strategy to tap into Nigeria’s growing creative economy and offer a new blend of food, lifestyle, and entertainment experiences.
Tantalizers Plc Chairman Alhaji Adam Nuru described the acquisition as a step toward creating branded content, immersive experiences, and digital entertainment platforms. Tade Ogidan also expressed optimism, stating the partnership would open up exciting creative opportunities and deliver impactful storytelling to audiences worldwide.
The move follows Tantalizers’ recent diversification into the marine sector and signals its broader ambition to become a multi-industry lifestyle brand.
