Superstar singer-songwriter Tems strives to empower the next generation of female music talent through her new program, “The Leading Vibe Initiative.” Set to launch in her hometown of Lagos, Nigeria, on August 8-9, 2025, this initiative will offer 18-35 young women a series of intensive workshops focused on songwriting and production, alongside industry panels, networking opportunities, studio time, and essential resources such as software.
“My goal with the Leading Vibe Initiative is to help discover and support talented young women who have the potential to redefine the industry,” Tems shared in a statement. “By providing access, tools, and opportunity, we’re creating space for them to find their voices, step into their power, and shape the future of music across the continent and globally.”
Applications are open until July 13th, and Native Instruments is partnering in this endeavor to provide technological support. The initiative aims to expand throughout Africa.
