With just four editions under its belt, The Kickback is rapidly cementing its status as the premier destination to discover who’s up next. The latest edition delivered on that promise, drawing a full house of emerging talent eager to connect with an audience that came ready to listen, cheer, and be surprised.
Every Kickback carries a unique narrative and energy. The fourth edition spotlighted some of the brightest new acts backed by the country’s most respected labels, who were eager to debut fresh releases and fan favorites.
Chocolate City’s TAR1Q and DMW’s Toyé left an indelible mark on Kickback 4, delivering spirited performances that instantly resonated with the crowd.
The energy didn’t stop there. Bliizzy kicked the show into overdrive, rolling out a string of hits alongside Kobi Wolf and HxB. Their on-stage chemistry set the tone before Oladapo delivered a finale that had the entire room jumping, sealing the night with a high-energy close.

Elsewhere on the bill, Daddyluwa, Spyshitta, KOHSEA, Skinny Skater, Jem1yo, Rossychanelle, and others proved exactly why they deserved the spotlight, offering sets that showcased both skill and a genuine love for the craft.
In a remarkably short time, the organizing team, Anthony Ogundiya, Bolu “Bliizzy” Adebanjo, Daniel Edet, Oluwalonimi Ogunfowora, and Clarence MacEbong has built a reputation for curating sharp lineups and unforgettable experiences. Their success is a testament to their hands-on expertise across every layer of production, from venue scouting and artist relations to strategic PR.
“We’re happy about our progress so far, but the real work has just begun,” says Anthony Ogundiya. “We owe it to our new community to keep this space pure and vibrant. The Kickback can become so much more.”
Although this marks the final show of the year as the team sets its sights on 2026, one thing is certain: The Kickback always has surprises tucked away. If the fourth edition is any indication, the next chapter is already shaping up to be another standout moment.
