Rema – HEIS 

Right at the start of the second half of 2024, Rave Lord Rema releases his sophomore album following early rumors of an Extended Play (EP) across the internet.

The official announcement came on July 8th at 4:47 pm WAT via his official social media pages, with the caption ‘second Album ‘HEIS’ 7/11′ indicating the release and the project type.

The album, which contains 11 tracks spanning over 30 minutes, features two collaborations with Shallipopi and Odumodublvck. Production credits on ‘HEIS’ come from genius producers such as P.Prime, LONDON, Producer X, Take A Daytrip, and more. 

Maleek Berry – Secrets

Maleek Berry returns with a new tune for the summer titled ‘Secrets.’ In this song, Maleek assures his lover that all her secrets are safe with him in his ‘Berry Room,’ a reference to his label’s name. The songs touched on the theme of love and intimacy. His smooth vocals ride on a mid-tempo groovy beat producing a sweet melody for the ears of listeners. 

‘Secrets’ also serves as his return to the music scene after a break since his 2022 hit ‘Ole Gan’.

The music also came alongside a music video directed by Alice Berry, and Billy King.

DJ YK Mule Feat. Tekno – Open It

Popular instrumental DJ, DJ YK Mule taps superstar Tekno to deliver a firm street sound titled ‘Open It’. The song, which features production and engineering credits from Tekno himself, Insane Chips, and Edgar Boy. 

This collaboration serves as the first song between the two artists. 

Taves – Are You Listening? (EP)

Having previously released In The City and A Million Things, fast-rising artiste Taves shares his debut EP Are You Listening? The ‘Eleyele’ and ‘Folake’ crooner is ready to make bold imprints in the industry as he drops an 8-track project which features Afrobeats sensation, BNXN. With standout songs like ‘Enchanté,’ ‘CWT’ featuring BNXN, and ‘Economy,’ Taves is ready to take on the world!

Tay Iwar, Le Mav, Gold – Gold II

As a sequel to the 2019 EP, Afro and RnB, artiste Tay Iwar returns with a six-track EP, ‘GOLD II.’ He teams up with Grammy-nominated producer Le Mav to deliver a stunning laid-back project laced with Afrobeats, RnB, Dancehall, and groovy log drums. This collaboration offers songs of the summer with tracks like ‘Feels,’ ‘Get Down,’ and ‘Rock Steady.’

Angelique Kidjo, Soweto Gospel Choir – Sunlight To My Soul

Multiple Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Angelique Kidjo drops latest single, ‘Sunlight’ featuring Soweto Gospel Choir. Written and composed by Daine Warren and produced by Afrobeats producer, Shizzi, Angelique Kidjo dazzles on this new track which captures a joyful and uplifting message, blending African rhythms and inspirational voices from Soweto Gospel Choir.
