Omah Lay – Moving

We’ve finally received the first official single of 2024 from Omah Lay, titled Moving, which serves as the second single from his upcoming sophomore album, Clarity of Mind. 

The song was also first previewed at Omah Lay’s exclusive show with Amazon Music on August 15th. Moving captures Omah Lay’s current state of mind, reflecting on his journey towards clarity and embracing the joy of the present moment.

Alpha P feat. Olamide & Thisizlondon – W

Two years since his last release, Alpha P returns to the Nigerian music scene with his latest single, W. This time, teaming up with Afrobeats hit makers; legendary rapper, and singer-songwriter, Olamide, and producer, ThisizLondon. On the London-produced love track, Olamide delivers charming melodic and rap verses on the mid-tempo song, while Alpha P demonstrates his love towards his muse with his evocative melodies.

Guchi – No Touching

Arriving with her third studio single for the year, Guchi shares with listeners her newest release titled, “No Touching. Produced by Tuzi, and songwriting credited to Ema Onigah and Guchi, the romance-centered track sees the Afropop singer deliver catchy hooks and intimate lyrics, on an irresistible beat. The track begs the question of loyalty and affection without sexual intimacy. What makes it more captivating is the playful nod to James Brown’s 1964 classic pop hit I Got You (I Feel Good).

Majeed – Will I?

With his consistent releases this year, Ekeh Chiaka Joseph, professionally known as Majeeed, is back with another single yet again. This follows after the release of his two-tracked project, California and Rollercoaster. His latest track, titled Will I? describes Majeed’s yearning for affection from his muse, as he blends soulful melody on the Afrobeats track.

DarkoVibes – Bend Your Knees (Igbo)

Ghanaian-born singer and songwriter, DarkoVibes comes through with a new song titled, “Bend Your Knees (Igbo). The upbeat track produced by Hylander narrates the euphoria from getting high on weed and as a supplement to helping ease his ordeals. DarkoVibes blend soulful melodies and catchy hooks sung in Twi and Ga, which are local Ghanaian languages, together with Pidgin and English.

Oxlade & Fally Ipupa – IFA

As we await Oxlade’s debut album, ‘OFA – Oxlade From Africa’, one of the most anticipated albums of the year, he treats fans to a single from the project. ‘IFA’ is a heartfelt song about a lover he would do anything for. In the record, Oxlade teams up with Congolese superstar Fally Ipupa, who brings his signature flair to the track with his voice, making ‘IFA’ a must-listen.

Krizbeatz, Fave & Joshua Baraka – Touch Me

Acclaimed producer Krizbeatz teams up with Fave and Joshua Baraka to create a soft romantic tune. On ‘Touch Me’, Fave and Joshua Baraka’s harmonious vocals blend in perfect unison, both artists expressing their deep desires for intimacy with their lovers. Fave yearns for her lover to ignite her passion, while Joshua Baraka confesses that the moments he shares with his lover are truly incomparable.

The Cavemen. – Only You

Lagos-based Afrocentric duo, The Cavemen, have joined forces to recreate Steve Monite’s 1984 classic, ‘Only You’, with remarkable justice. Their remake is a masterful blend of flawless guitars, drums, and melodies, breathing new life into the timeless record. This rendition is a sweet treat for both old and new generations, making it an unforgettable ear candy that transcends time.

Global Neil ENT & Laime – Life As We Know It (EP)

The music recording and talent management company has teamed up with Laime, an icon, to create their joint EP, ‘Life As We Know It’, a masterpiece filled with stories and melodies. The four-track EP tells us about his vision and determination for prosperity and success, as well as enjoying life. The EP features guests, including Prettyboy DO and Monaky. With pure lyrical verses and bops, it’s one for your ears and speakers.
