Tobi Amusan Sets 100m Hurdles Record at Rabat Diamond League 2025

Nigerian hurdler Tobi Amusan stormed to victory in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Rabat Diamond League on Saturday, May 25, clocking a meet record of 12.45 seconds.

The 28-year-old reigning world record holder powered ahead in the final stretch at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, beating the previous meeting record of 12.51s. Nadine Visser of the Netherlands finished second in 12.67s, while Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska took third in 12.69s.

Amusan’s performance marks a strong comeback following mixed results earlier in the season. After finishing fourth in both Xiamen and Shanghai, the Rabat win signals a return to top form as she eyes a fourth Diamond League title.

Speaking after the race, Amusan said: “The beginning of the season was a little rough, but I trusted the process and the work I’ve been putting in. I’m happy it’s paying off.”

The Rabat meet is the fourth stop of the 2025 Diamond League series. Amusan now looks ahead to upcoming races in Rome and Oslo as she continues her title defense.
