Tyla Set to Light Up Asia on Her First Headline Tour, “We Wanna Party”

By Aderinola Omotosho

After a breakout year that’s taken her from viral sensation to global superstar, Tyla is hitting the road for her first-ever headline tour, and she’s taking it to Asia. The We Wanna Party Tour will see the South African singer light up stages across Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, India, the UAE, and Bahrain this November and December.

It already feels huge. Tyla’s been on a crazy run since Water went viral, Grammy wins, record-breaking charts, and a sound that has managed to bring amapiano to the center of global pop.

The #WWPTOUR kicks off on November 11 in Tokyo, before moving across Asia and the Middle East. Fans can expect the full Tyla experience—vocals, choreography, energy, and that signature stage confidence that makes every performance feel like a celebration.

Still, her announcement hasn’t come without controversy. Some fans have voiced concern over her choice to include Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the tour, pointing to both countries’ alleged involvement in the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Sudan. So far, Tyla hasn’t addressed the backlash directly, but the conversation continues to unfold alongside the excitement.

Even with the noise, the We Wanna Party Tour feels like a major win — not just for Tyla, but for African artists everywhere. She’s already proven her sound can cross borders; now she’s proving she can headline them. From Johannesburg to Asia, she’s bringing that same infectious energy to new stages, new fans, and new moments that remind everyone why she’s one of the most exciting voices in music right now.
