After a 14-month break since his last release, Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter Abstraktt steps back into the music scene with Ogogoro Bop, a deviation from his style of music. The Bella Shmurda-featured track is inspired by the popular West African music genre, palm-wine music.
Ogogoro Bop is a lilting feel-good record on which both artists flex their vocal and lyrical dexterity, delivering catchy lines about their exuberant lifestyles filled with good vibes, alcohol and women.
Speaking on his hiatus triggered by the aftermath of the EndSARS incident in Abuja, Abstraktt said, “It felt like an apocalypse and everything I built started to collapse, but now I’m back, channelling my energy with a pocket full of positivity. Everyone will experience this greatness that is Abstraktt”

Isaac Afogie Ferdinand-Ekheoveh, professionally known as Abstraktt (also dubbed King Abstraktt), is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Edo State. He kicked off his career with a tape titled “Radio Irregular” but he gained more recognition after the release of his controversial single “Allow Me To Rap” during the 2019 Nigerian General Elections.
Abstraktt calls his genre “Afrorap Rock”; which fuses his dynamic hip hop dexterity and melodic excerpts from afro-beat and highlife, with the cadence and delivery of a rock artist.
Abstraktt is a graduate of Geography and Planning from the University of Lagos, and he hopes to break geographical boundaries with his phenomenal, yet enthralling sound.
