Daniel Adeola is the person behind the stage name, $hadow. He was born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria. However, he currently switches residence between Dublin and London. At 20 years old with two siblings, his main passion in life is making music. He has always had a knack for creativity; drawing, designing and painting as a child. Growing into the producer, sound master and sound engineer that he is now.
As mentioned before, $hadow grew up accustomed to music. Playing the piano and passing professional recitals at the tender age of 14. It is not a surprise that recording and production are two talents he has now mastered. Creating music, according to $hadow, is an interesting and entertaining place to invent and feel new things.
When creating, $hadow starts off with the beat, stringing together the melodies, instruments and sounds that’ll mesmerize his listeners. After this crucial part of the process is completed, he lays down his vocals. If you notice, I haven’t confined $hadow to any genre as he is skilled at producing or creating music within multiple genres. Moreover, the main takeaway he wants people to get from his music is being true to themselves, as well as just having a good time.
$hadows’ biggest inspirations are Kendrick Lamar and Nas. The reason being that they broke barriers and norms, creativity wise, in their careers, which is what he himself aspires to do.
