The lockdown had its effects on a lot of people, it either made or broke them. For Tia Atohengbe, it did the former. She discovered her songwriting skills, and it prompted her on the path to kick-starting her music career.
Months later, Tia Atoh is here with her very first single, BAAM (Bad As A Motherfucker). As Tia says she cannot sing to save her life, she’s belting hard bars in this one. It is reminiscent of Amaarae’s whole genre of mostly singing for bad bitches, and it helps that new artistes are finding their sound and going after what they want.
Only 20, there’s a lot of time for Tia to explore and refine her sound, and we can’t wait to hear what else she has for the world. As for now, she’s bad as a motherfucker, she knows it, she owns it, and she wants to you to know it.
